It would be very helpful if you could put this 'signature' on the bottom of each email and letter you send to anyone - so we can attract more people and donations: i.e. "STOP the Weymouth Relief Road - visit www.bypassthebypass.org - and pass this on to as many as possible". For emails, this can be done (Outlook Express) by going to Tools/Options/Signatures - then New etc. This can then be automatically put on every email



The road is now reaching an advanced stage and the Ridgeway is completely wrecked.

Noddy, despite rain, wind and cold, was living in a tree (winter 08/09) in Two Mile Coppice - doing his best to prevent Dorset County Council from wrecking Ancient Woodland for their useless ill thought out so-called "relief" road. He was then joined by many others. This ancient and beautiful oak has now been hacked down by DCC. See the NEWS section

BYPASS THE BYPASS is a local group set up with the express aim to stop the proposed Weymouth "Relief" Road.
in doing so we aim:
1) to provide accurate information to the public,
2) to protect the countryside,
3) to demonstrate that there are many alternative ways to improve the transport between Weymouth and Dorchester.
4) to ensure that a Public Inquiry is held, if not on the planning permission, then into the Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) etc. so that the issues are presented to an independent inspector. (This has now been achieved although the inspector wasn't at all sympathetic).
